This is wonderfully written, and many men who are better than I would probably love this.

For myself, and ADD might play into this, I would find the many delays a terrible turn-off. I think that by the time she came out of the bathroom I would no longer be in the mood. I’d still play along to hopefully regain the mood, but the many expectation-building steps would push the mood further away.

When she answered the phone and went into another room to talk, I’d give up, zip up, and go to do the dishes or something. When she came back, I’d give her a hug, tell her I love her, thank her for being good to me, and say “some other time, ok?”

I’m probably an extreme case, but I think it is not uncommon for men to find drawn-out sex (when applied to themselves) frustrating rather than gratifying.
